The Picture to the left represents the Dennison Railroad Museum as it appears today. A million dollar restoration has been done to return the old Pennsylvania Railroad Depot back to it's original appearance. This building is a breath-taking piece of architecture that must be witnessed in person. |

As you wonder through the museum at your own pace taking in all the sights and sounds of this magnificent building, you will see displays of "how it was done back in the day." These displays are very helpful to understand just how it was done and why it was done that way. |
During the Second World War, Dennison was a very popular spot with our troops. Trains stopped in Dennison carrying troops to help with the war effort over seas. This was often the only stop where the troops could de-train and get a fresh cup of coffee and a warm sandwich. The troops started referring to Dennison and Dreamsville U.S.A. Today, we honor those troops with several displays and many pictures. This is a very emotional display for many veterans that severed our country in the War. |

Our most popular display for children from 9 months to 90 years old really enjoy our model train. This is no ordinary train set, we have custom built it to represent the Dennison Railroad Depot and all the yard tracks that surrounded the station. You will be amazed at how big the railroad was back in the early 1900's. This working model will leave you shaking you head and wondering were it all has gone.
You can view it from the ground or get above the model from our viewing platform. Here you can really get a great view of Dennison while you watch the trains run around. Very Cool! |

We have set aside an entire room for the rich history of Dennison and the surrounding communities. You can learn how the area became the Clay Capital of the World you will also learn about the amazing history of baseball in the area, Cy Young grew up just down the road from Dennison. We will also fill you in on all the other unique things that happened over the past 150 years. |

All around the museum, inside and out, you will see original and a few replica signs that depict the era of the first half of the 1900's. Most of the signs are unique in their own right and really give you a feeling of coming back in time.
You can also read about the historical significance of the the museum as stated by the Ohio Historical Association. It is very interesting reading.
Throughout the year the Dennison Railroad Museum sponsors many train rides using both steam and diesel power. We highly recommend a visit and experience our peaceful museum and take a train ride with us. For more info on train rides click here! |
